Busy writing…

November 24, 2009

Am busy writing a pantomime — Aladdin — for the grade 7/8 production at Pretty River Academy. I wish I could type faster than my hands allow me to. Wow…November is coming to an end quickly…

Lucky Day?

November 12, 2009

If you’re familiar with the Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes” from 1934 you may recall the character “Moonface Martin”. Deep in the second act, in an effort to cheer Billy Crocker, he optimistically states that “it’s always darkest just before they turn on the lights”. I must surmise, therefore, seeing as we are hours away from Friday the 13th of November, we are presently within a relatively “lucky” point of time — comparably, of course. So, enjoy this day and it’s wonderful weather.

I was visited by the mother of one of my high school students, who stopped by to notify me that her son has acquired an audition for a production in T.O. — “Hockey” the Musical. He sang the bejeebees out of “Joseph…” and certainly deserves the crack at it! Knock ’em dead, Andrew!!
